About this opportunity The School of Art at Ball State University invites applications for part‑time instructors to teach courses in Studio Art.
What you’ll do and what you’ll bring Position Description Successful candidates may be hired to teach between 1 and 3 undergraduate courses in the Studio Art program, including drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, glass, metals + jewelry, sculpture, photography, video and new media, and/or other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
Course development support and pedagogical mentoring will be offered. All instructors are expected to communicate regularly with students, provide meaningful and timely assessments, post course information on Canvas, and submit grades and other reports on time.
Applications will remain active for 1 year. Candidates may not hear from the school until there is a need to hire an instructor.
Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in art, design, or related discipline by time of appointment OR two years of documented experience in art, design, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Engagement with contemporary art practices as an educator, artist, designer, and/or illustrator.
One year of teaching experience at the college level.
