It’s the way *you*want to be treated.**Summary:** Performs pre-analytical duties on specimens for Pathology, includes Histology and Cytology.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Accessions specimens* Specimen embedding* Performs slide cover slipping and labeling as needed* Manual routine and special staining* Cleans and maintains instruments* Assists pathologists with bone marrow procedures as necessary* Specimen rotation/disposal* Assists with inventory control* Assists in accessioning, staining, and cover slipping specimens for Cytology when needed* Other duties as required for departmental operation* Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits* Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct**Requirements:** High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in a science related field preferred.
