Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Machine Operator based in Buffalo, New York.
From your EXPERTISE to ours.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
Other duties may be assigned.
Summary
Perform pre‑shift operational inspection to determine condition of filling machine.
Set up filling machine and related equipment for product to be run.
Monitor filling machine during line operation to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational/mechanical problems in a timely basis to ensure an efficient, smooth flow of product.
Monitor package seal impressions, integrity, and product giveaway.
Change film in a timely manner to fashion to ensure a continuous, efficient flow of product.
Perform product changeover(s) as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance on a daily/weekly schedule as required.
Maintain an open line of communication with production palletizer, and lead person/supervisor.
Perform proper sanitation of the filler before introducing the product.
Continuously monitor for abnormalities or inconsistencies in the texture, shape, color, odor or foreign material in or on the product.
Continuously monitor for proper code date, lot number and operator code product to be packaged.
Familiarize yourself with all standard operating procedures.
Continuously monitor for proper product temperature during filling.
Continuously monitor the cup wash, ensures that it is on and working correctly.
Continuously monitor the cooling spirals and investigate any problems.
Keeps work area neat and clean at all times.

Basics mathematical skills are required (must be able to calculate averages).
Food industry is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Must be dependable and able to work well in a team environment.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma/GED required.
