Machinist II – Entry Tool Room 3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 11 pm – 7 am
Duties
Provides repair, reconditioning, and regular maintenance to tooling and fixtures.
Utilizes computer controlled machining lathes, grinders, polishers, and EDMs to resurface and repair press dies and other fixtures.
Follows all safety guidelines for tooling repair equipment and utilizes Lock‑Out Tag‑Out procedures when necessary to ensure safe equipment setup.
Selects the appropriate machinery for repairs and follows all safety policies and procedures associated with that equipment.
Provides Operator Level PM on the Tool Room equipment and functionally tests all repairs before releasing the tools/fixtures to production.
Utilizes blueprints and schematics to set up the machines for a repair.
Performs detailed inspection of tooling to troubleshoot concerns with the finished products.
Utilizes scopes, optical comparators, and Keyence measuring devices to aid in troubleshooting and repair.
Requirements
Must have High School diploma or GED.
2‑ or 4‑year Technical Degree preferred.
