We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Patternmaker to join a growing design and production team on a full‑time basis. This role requires 15+ years of specialized patternmaking experience within activewear, with the ability to create, refine, and perfect patterns for innovative apparel collections. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented with a deep understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and advanced patternmaking techniques.
Location: Commerce, CA – Fully Onsite
Schedule: Full-time, Direct Hire
Pay: $90K–$110K annually
Start: ASAP after interview process
Job Summary The Patternmaker will play a critical role in shaping activewear collections by creating precise, production‑ready patterns that balance innovation, fit, and function.
Key Responsibilities
Develop original, production‑ready patterns aligned with creative vision and brand standards
Translate design sketches into accurate patterns in collaboration with designers, sample makers, and technical teams
Conduct fittings and make adjustments to achieve optimal fit, performance, and aesthetics
Utilize both manual and digital patternmaking tools (Gerber, Lectra, or similar CAD systems)
Maintain documentation of all pattern modifications and iterations
Mentor junior patternmakers and provide technical guidance as needed
Stay current on fabrics, trends, and construction techniques relevant to performance apparel
Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of hands‑on patternmaking experience within activewear
Expertise in garment construction, grading, and fit standards for performance apparel
Proficiency in both traditional draping/flat pattern techniques and CAD software (Gerber, Lectra, etc.)
Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
