Product Assembler – 2nd Shift

Pay:
$16.50 /hr + $2.00 shift differential
Job Purpose An Assembler is an integral part of the American Products team. The Assembly team works together to ensure the equipment is assembled in working order, with no defects, and ready to ship to the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lift, position, and assemble both metal and plastic products using air, battery, and small hand tools.
Package finished products (boxes, palletize, and wrap).
Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
Follow company safety procedures.
Test finished products for defects.
Maintain tools used to create products.
Keep a clean and well‑maintained workspace.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of 1 year related experience in manufacturing preferred.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop floor documentation, specification diagrams, and supervisor instructions.
Mechanical aptitude to assemble products with high quality.
Skills and Abilities
Interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with internal personnel.
Problem solving and troubleshooting.
Professional and courteous communication with customers and co‑workers.
Excellent attention to detail and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Reach with hands and arms; crouch and kneel.
Lift or move up to 25 pounds regularly, occasionally 50 pounds.
Wear safety glasses and steel‑toe boots.
