Stamping Press Operator
Role at Chicago Steel powered by UPG. Responsibilities
Loads and unloads metal coils through progressive dies, banding coils at the completion of a production run. Aligns parts between dies or positions them against fixtures on the machine. Accurately completes all production paperwork which includes job cards and tally sheets. Removes metal scrap between die and press bed and immediate press floor area. Keeps work area orderly and clean. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety, and environmental standards. Responsible for quality of part produced per the operator instructions. Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment. Read and understand work instructions, including Load and Packing instructions. Experience with ERP systems, entering information when needed. Retrieve documents in ERP system, such as work instructions. Positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic. Forklift knowledge and experience would be a plus. Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally).
