This is an AWW1 Shift position: Friday – Sunday 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
What You Will Learn Machine Operator 1 – Ability to operate a variety of production machines. This position requires performing routine operations on the production line to produce blades and/or vanes while performing all quality checks. Requires shift work and ability to work overtime when needed.
What You Will Do
Train on the job to become proficient and certified in performing operations in coatings, grinding, hole drilling, or finishing of turbine airfoils.
Follow work instructions provided.
Demonstrate understanding of quality and production.
Show broad knowledge of machine shop practices, methods, and techniques, including cutting qualities of metal, machining, fabrication and tooling; work from drawings and sketches using advanced shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments.
Read drawings and operation sheets, using decimals, fractions and precision measuring instruments.
Apply knowledge of machining methods.
Qualifications You Must Have
High School Diploma / GED.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Previous manufacturing experience or education or advanced manufacturing certification.
Qualifications We Prefer
Two or more years of machine operator or manufacturing experience.
