Service Technician

Primary Purpose The Service Technician operates a company service truck and serves diverse locations to pump, clean, and service portable restrooms and holding tanks. This role is central to our business and requires a blend of driving, mechanical, and customer‑service skills.
Essential Functions
Perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with USS and DOT requirements.
Complete all work duties safely, following USS DOT safety standards.
Lift, push, and pull between 50 and 150 lbs. frequently during work shifts.
Conduct portable toilet servicing to USS 8‑point service standard.
Interact with customers on work sites to ensure services meet required standards.
Adjust routes flexibly to meet customer needs and operational requirements.
Provide routing feedback to Operations Manager/Supervisor/Coordinator to improve efficiency and customer service.
Strategically plan for customer needs by discussing portable toilet requirements to satisfy current and future demands.
Qualifications
Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
Valid Driver License (CDL or non‑commercial).
Excellent time‑management, customer‑service, and communication skills.
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
Physical Requirements
Sit while driving; stand while servicing products.
Use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Repeat the same movements consistently.
See details of objects less than a few feet away and at greater distances.
Speak clearly so customers can understand.
Understand speech from others.
Hear sounds and recognize differences among them.
Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion.
Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling.
Lift up to 40 lbs. from waist to shoulders.
Lift 30 lbs. from floor to head.
Crouch and squat.
Push and pull 100 lbs. horizontally.
