Engineering Technician 2
for our location in
Plymouth, MN . Armament Systems produces Ammunition and Gun Systems.
Position Summary:
Employee will work with internal programs on building Mechanical and Electrical devices. Soldering, potting, wiring, using multimeters and oscilloscopes as well as working directly with Engineers.
Skills Required:
Minimum 2 years of experience with a High School degree.
Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering equipment and laser welder preferred.
Solder certified; J-Standard.
Possess electrical component understanding; ability to read drawings and schematics.
Experience gathering, maintaining and compiling technical data.
Able to read engineering documentation and reports.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to acquire a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Skills:
Electrical Technician degree or certification.
Knowledge or experience with explosives or energetic assembly and test.
Capable to safely operate equipment designed or modified for the build and test of munitions.
Assembly, disassembly, processing, repairing and testing of small arms, artillery and other mechanical or electrical ordnance assemblies is a plus.
Primary Level Salary Range: $53,500.00 - $89,100.00. This range is a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills and market conditions when determining base salary offers.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman provides health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company‑paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
