Natives of Kodiak, Inc. (KOMAN Construction LLC) is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team in Del Rio, TX. KOMAN is a federal government contractor that supports CBP with road construction and vegetation control in Texas.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, machines, and vehicles including skid steers, scrappers, motor graders, excavators, wood chippers, haul trucks, water trucks, etc.
Typical repairs and maintenance would include work on engines, transmissions, chassis, drivelines and body components, hydraulic, brake, electrical and suspension systems, wheels, tires and undercarriages
Maintains complete and detailed working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases for repairs.
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Performs diagnostic inspections as needed.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
Ability to perform fabrication and welding processes.
Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions.
Qualifications
5 years of heavy equipment/diesel mechanic experience is required.
Experience working in a construction setting is highly preferred.
Strong mechanical understanding of diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
