What You’ll Do

Conduct maintenance work requiring moderate skill levels on all associate equipment on a packaging line, including mixing operation

Lubricate, adjust, and clean packaging machine

Maintain and set up machinery on the packaging line

Examine poly to ensure that the correct poly is being applied to the designated product and lot

Examine the cartons to ensure that the cartons are printing according to buyer’s specifications

Maintain proper palletizing of the finished cases using slip sheets when necessary

Inspect and compare pallet tickets against pallet load to ensure accuracy

Responsible for all line reporting by computer or paper

Supervise the line personnel on their respective line

Assist in training new line employees and/or new machine operators

Responsible for work accomplished by the personnel in the Frozen Packaging Department

Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures

May perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Previous quality control experience (preferred)

Effective communication skills

Basic math function

Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Ability to maintain proper confidentiality of sensitive information

Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs
