is looking for a detail-driven turning professional to set up, run, and maintain manual and CNC lathes that produce precision parts for demanding applications, including aerospace. A day in the role
Set up and operate both manual and CNC lathes following work instructions, blueprints, and specifications. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job travelers to plan your work. Choose the right cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each assignment. Keep a close eye on machine performance to ensure every part meets dimensional and quality standards. Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Make minor offsets and adjustments to maintain accuracy. Keep your area organized and safe, following company safety practices. Log production data and alert your supervisor to any issues. Collaborate with teammates to stay on schedule. Pitch in with additional tasks as needed. What you bring
Hands-on experience with manual and/or CNC lathes preferred. Ability to read blueprints and confidently use precision measuring tools. Foundational knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and materials. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong quality mindset. Comfort standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. Core strengths
