As a Sheet Metal Foreman you will be involved with managing commercial mechanical construction projects and assist with project needs including material management, personnel, schedules, and communication with the project management team, customers and building officials.

Compensation aspects of the role are dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Knowledge of project schedule/milestones, submittals, contract documents (addenda, specifications, drawings) and in‑house shop drawings.

Ability to coordinate with other trades to complete HVAC/piping installations within the project scope and schedule.

Experience managing project crews to install multiple types of HVAC and duct systems.

Ability to manage a commercial construction project of any size.

Accountable for the safe performance of personnel and equipment.

Understand/comply with the company tool policy and pass these values to less experienced employees.

Involved with completing required electronic documentation including daily reports, next‑week plans, accident reports, disciplinary reports, etc.

Able to work from ladders, manlifts and other equipment at various heights.

Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications

Preferred: 2 years of experience as a sheet‑metal foreman on commercial construction projects.

Preferred: 2 years of experience leading teams of 3 direct reports.

Preferred: OSHA 30‑hour certification.

Able to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights and operate the equipment as needed.

Additional Requirements

Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.

Maintain a positive, cooperative, and coachable attitude.

Self‑motivated, initiative, and self‑starter.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to lead others including teaching and coaching.

Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.

Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, drawings, and other equipment layout materials.

Ability to pass a full background and drug screening.

Ability to pass an MVR check (or must have reliable transportation).

Ability to pass a physical ability test.

Ability to travel as needed for projects.
