Responsibilities
Follow specified work instructions and continuously look for ways to improve production processes.
Make Safety your #1 priority every day.
Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Implement Kanban movement.
Open and close containers.
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas and secure them.
Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled for stock requisition or Kanban records.
Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on containers.
Stack or assemble materials into bundles and bands together.
Remove samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and send samples to laboratory for analysis.
Drive industrial lift trucks, electric carts, industrial sweepers, and company pick‑up trucks.
Make simple adjustments and perform routine preventive maintenance.
Assemble crates or boxes to contain products such as machines or vehicles.
Clean work area, spillage, and equipment as required.
Wrap and crate various units.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or GED.
1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Ability to use tools and equipment needed to perform assembly operations in an industrial setting.
Good listening and communication skills.
Team player who works well with others.
Physical Demands
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 30 pounds.
Regular hand and arm use, finger, handle, or feel tasks.
Expected to be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise.
Work at varying heights from ladders or scaffold platforms.
Compensation & Benefits The hourly rate for this role is in the range of $22.00 – $24.50 an hour. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
