Machine Operator – 2nd Shift (Bristol, RI)
We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our manufacturing site in Bristol, Rhode Island. The position is for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm, Mon‑Fri) with a training period of 8:30 am–5:00 pm for several weeks. An additional hourly shift differential is paid for time worked.
Responsibilities
Setup: mounting tools, assembling auxiliary equipment, preparing raw materials, and configuring the work cell (conveyors, packaging, etc.).
Startup: pre‑heating tooling, loading appropriate programming, and initiating the production process.
Operation / Monitoring: ensuring quality and safety standards, adhering to operating procedures, and submitting samples.
Troubleshooting: emergency shutdowns, identifying and implementing corrective actions, and performing first‑line maintenance.
Shut‑downs and changeovers as required to meet the production schedule.
Qualifications
Self‑starter with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Demonstrable experience applying best‑practice safety and continuous improvement methods and systems.
