Base pay range $20.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for effectively operating and organizing assigned growth and fabrication processes and analytical equipment to meet all growth schedules.

Accountable to follow established procedures, work instructions, safety protocols and accepted practices to perform basic maintenance of fabrication equipment.

Effectively record and process test data and reports for internal and external customer evaluation.

Responsible for ensuring Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) procedures involving troubleshooting and maintenance of systems are adhered to consistently.

Successfully observe and report process and equipment deviations.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Vocational, trade school, or technical certificate preferred

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Skills & Other Requirements

Basic understanding of computer equipment, common instruments, laboratory equipment and mechanical tools

Ability to analyze and troubleshoot basic issues

Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires a U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien, or protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Working Conditions

Works with hand and power tools in laboratory and production environment

Works with high temperature, high voltage and x-ray/microwave/laser radiation

Exposure to concentrated acids and chemicals

Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, heat, noise and cold

Occasional travel may be required

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 3+ hours at a time

Requires regular bending, stooping, and reaching

Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds

Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and COHERENT Corporate EHS standards.

This position may require a pre-employment physical and on-going medical testing.
