Job Description
Join a leading electrical contractor in Iowa, working on diverse projects including commercial, residential, utility, solar, audio-video, and fire projects. We are seeking dedicated electrical apprentices or experienced electricians to assist with various projects. This role has a focus on learning and development in the trade and building a long-term career in the electrical field of Des Moines, Iowa.
Responsibilities
Assist crew with daily tasks on commercial or residential projects.
Run and bend conduit, as well as run and pull cable.
Hang electrical boxes and fixtures.
Run Romex cable in residential and multifamily settings.
Correctly use hand and power tools.
Read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch.
Commit to learning, shadowing, and training in the electrical trade (entry-level experience).
Commit to extended projects in the electrical field (Experienced).
Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of electrical systems and components.
Ability to utilize hand/power tools.
Experience with electrical troubleshooting and conduit bending.
Basic math skills for adding, subtracting, and dividing.
Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and climb ladders.
Requirements
Valid driver's license along with reliable transportation.
Ability to pass background screening (No Unlawful Acts on Record).
Automatic Qualifiers
Prior experience in commercial or residential electrical work.
Experience in appliance installation and finishing work, such as installing light receptacles and replacing lights or wiring.

Work Environment Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with optional overtime on Saturdays. We promote a balanced work-life environment and provide necessary PPE.
