Waterjet Operator 2nd Shift — thyssenkrupp Materials NA
Location: Cleveland, OH | Salary: $75,000–$95,000 a year.
Conducts and operates computer numeric controlled (CNC) equipment within the organization. Operates on 2nd shift, pay $26.44 per hour.
Key Accountabilities
Performs precision tool machining operations through monitoring feed rates, speed, and special instruments.
Conducts inspections using measuring instruments for accuracy.
Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales.
Troubleshoots malfunctions and maintains machines.
Conducts preventive maintenance and maintains safe workspaces.
Meets production goals re: cycle time, quantity, quality.
Utilizes blueprints and dimensions, machine instructions, and special project guidelines.
Possesses working knowledge of programming CNC machines (optional).
Works under general supervision; handles moderately complex issues and refers more complex issues to higher‑level staff.
Potential leadership, coaching or mentoring for subordinate group.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2‑4 years’ experience in a related position.
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Safety mindset.
Preferred Requirements
Accreditation from a technical school or applicable skills trades program.
Previous warehouse and forklift experience, especially in metals industry.
Proficiency with handheld measuring tools and computer literate.
