We are seeking machinists experienced in setting up and operating multi‑tasking equipment such as Mill Turns or Swiss. This role fulfills a critical seat in our MillTurn department on nights, with training provided on days. As a Mill Turn Machinist, you will play a key role in daily operation, setup, production goal attainment, and troubleshooting while maintaining a safe, high‑performing work environment. What You’ll Do
Independently set up and operate machines for various jobs, ensuring adherence to company quality standards and production efficiency. Troubleshoot production issues with support from Senior Machinist, Supervisors, and Engineers to ensure smooth production flow. Conduct in‑process inspections of machined products, documenting results to ensure products met specifications. Assist Junior Machinists and Production Operators in diagnosing and resolving technical issues during machining operations. Maintain a safe working environment by upholding a proactive safety culture and addressing potential hazards. Requirements
What You’ll Bring
Associate’s degree in Machining or related field, or work experience in place of education. 2+ years experience as a machinist. Mill Turn or Swiss experience preferred. Multi‑channel programming experience preferred. Skills And Competencies
Willingness to learn a new platform with positivity and grit. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, perform basic calculations, and use hand‑held measuring tools. General knowledge of CMM, VCMM, and GD&T. Strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of reading G‑code and M‑code. Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
