About the Role Under the supervision of the Warehouse Lead Personnel and Shift Supervisor, the Equipment Operator safely and efficiently operates warehouse palletizers, and forklifts. This position will also perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Person and Management.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment, including single and doublewide pallet-handling forklifts and yard tractor.
Monitor the quality of product and raw materials being shipped or received and notify management of any inconsistencies.
Operate bar code equipment efficiently and accurately.
Load and unload semi-trucks.
Maintain quality standards for all processes and functions within assigned duties.
Accurately complete all required documentation on a timely basis.
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machines as needed.
Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures on machines and work area.
Assist in Production assignments as needed.
Comply with all safety, GMP, and sanitation standards and procedures.
Lift up to 40 lbs. frequently, up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Frequently climb stairs, reach above shoulders, bend and twist at waist.
Stand/walk or sit for extended periods of time.
Be able and available to work overtime as needed (up to 64 hours/week).
Required to adhere to all Food Safety Policies and Guidelines.
