Job Type: Full‑time
Duties & Responsibilities
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using math and instruments such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in the preparation of machine work.
Modify cutting programs to account for problems encountered during operation and save the modified programs.
Enter commands to store or retrieve part programs, graphic displays, or programs that transfer data to other media.
Measure, examine, and test completed units for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
Read work orders and/or production schedules to determine specifications, such as material to be used, location of cutting lines, and dimensions and tolerances.
Start and run machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
Adjust machine speeds and actions according to product specifications.
Maintain a clean, safe, working environment.
Support other areas of the shop as needed.
Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to organize work assignments to ensure efficient operations within the area.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to achieve intended objectives.
Ability to read and use related quality control tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, indicators, and tape measures.
Good organizational skills.
Understanding of lean and 6S safety in a manufacturing environment.
Good computer skills.
