Responsibilities / Duties

Perform tasks as directed to prepare components or equipment for inspections.

Assist certified technicians in completing projects and learning activities.

Interface with personnel to determine scope of work and work priorities to meet customer expectations.

Help clean and organize equipment before, during, and at the completion of projects.

Document job training experience as assigned by management.

Perform other job‑related tasks as appointed by supervisors.

Level II MT/PT/UTT Technician Responsibilities

Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.

Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and exercise assigned responsibility for OJT and guidance of trainees.

Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities to meet customer expectations.

Create written instructions and organize and report the results of examinations.

Work independently and support team members.

Perform other job‑related tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

For NDT Assistants/Trainees: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with math and print reading skills; ability to use computers for data entry and report writing. Prior NDT classroom training or OJT preferred.

For NDT Level II Technicians: Required qualifications for MT, PT, and UTT; documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s); working knowledge of industrial environments; ability to communicate with other departments and customers to report issues and solve problems.

Desired Experience

Inspection of pressure vessels, storage tanks, and/or piping according to applicable API code.

Proficiency in MS Word and Excel for reporting.

All Applicants Require The Following

Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to travel.

Must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

U.S. Persons only: Required access to ITAR controlled information. Only U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylum seekers are eligible.

Work Conditions

Wear safety equipment as required by the safety department.

Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man‑baskets, etc.

Work in confined spaces; may require crawling, stooping, or climbing.

Operate equipment and in industrial environments.

Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film‑developing chemicals, etc.

Work up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week; travel up to approximately 2 weeks at a time.

Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
