We are looking for a skilled Temporary Event Prop Carpenter to join our team and support the building of custom structures and props for large-scale event installations. This is a temporary, project-based role that requires experience in carpentry and construction, as well as the ability to work with various materials and tools to bring our event designs to life.
Key Responsibilities
Build custom event structures, frames, and props during the pre-building phase (now through 10/30) according to provided designs and specifications
Assist with the installation of carpentry-related items on-site during the installation phase (11/1 - 11/19)
Work with various materials, including wood, metal, and composite materials, to create large-scale event components
Collaborate with the design and production team to ensure event installations are executed accurately and on time
Modify, repair, or adjust built structures as needed to meet safety standards and aesthetic goals
Ensure all carpentry elements are secure and meet safety requirements for the duration of the event
Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices while working with power tools, hand tools, and heavy materials
Requirements
Proven experience in carpentry, construction, or set building
Ability to read and interpret design plans, blueprints, and technical drawings
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and various construction equipment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in carpentry work
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work on weekends and extended hours, if necessary
Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights when required
Work Schedule
Pre-building phase: Now through 10/3
Installation phase: 11/1 - 11/19
Please note: Hours per week will not be consistent and will vary week to week depending on project needs and deadlines.
