Concrete Carpenter – Miles‑McClellan Construction

Location: Columbus, OH — Salary: $40,000.00–$50,000.00 (4 months ago).
Responsibilities
Understand project plans and specifications.
Determine materials, equipment and procedures required to achieve desired results.
Determine and abide by safety procedures based on job site conditions.
Communicate equipment and manpower needs to meet schedules and deadlines.
Assist with the placement of concrete for projects.
Place concrete from a truck, crane, bucket or pump.
Apply structural concrete experience (footings and walls).
Provide cement finishing experience.
Finish concrete as required.
Coordinate with Superintendent onsite for direction and schedule.
Operate all necessary tools associated with the job.
Communicate and understand both verbal and written directions.
Organize, structure and perform tasks within a set schedule.
Apply experience/knowledge of construction.
Act as a self‑starter with the ability to work in a team environment.
Qualifications
Frequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
Frequently walk, stoop, kneel, reach and climb.
Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years’ experience in concrete preferred.
Previous experience in the commercial construction industry preferred.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
Reliable and punctual.
