Purpose of Job:
Perform repairs on electric motors, armatures, rotors, generators and any other electrical equipment.
Responsibilities Perform core loss testing, hipotential testing, surge testing, megger testing; operate AC and DC test panels; TIG armature connections; brazed connections; manufacture and install random wound coils; align and install formed coils; ensure proper insulation systems for quality rewinding practices.
Qualification Requirements
Must be 18 or older.
Proven ability to operate core loss tester, hipotential test, surge test, and megger test equipment as well as both AC and DC test panels.
Ability to TIG armature connections and flick brazed connections.
Experience manufacturing and installing random wound coils, and aligning formed coils and installing coils in formed armatures.
Well versed in proper insulation systems to ensure quality rewinding practices.
Preferred winding experience and a valid driver’s license.
Experience with equipment used by EMS; other experience related to the processes performed on EMS jobs.
Ability to read, write and converse fluently in English.
Must have initiative and enterprise to quickly master processes and procedures and complete tasks with or without supervision.
