POSITION SUMMARY The Maintenance Tech must possess advanced skills in painting and basic skills in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Works closely with and follows directions from the maintenance director/supervisor;
Maintains building and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly condition;
Maintains and repairs basic functions of the center as determined by the maintenance director/supervisor;
Takes care of the tools and equipment;
Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri‑chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkling systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and extinguishers; changes filters on HVAC equipment; carries, lifts, and stocks supplies.
Remains on call, when assigned, for 24 hours a day.
Performs other duties as requested.

Ability to positively interact with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.
This position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and well‑being of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.
