Job Summary and Responsibilities SUMMARY
The DC Power Installer II is responsible for providing high-quality service in all customer technical spaces, including data centers, mobile telephone switch centers, central office wire centers, and designated enterprise spaces. The DC Power Installer II is required to take excellent care of our customers, build relationships, question things and take action, work hard, work smart, and enjoy the experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Physically placing, removing, or modifying non-working equipment such as:
Iron work, frames/cabinets, equipment rack installation
Power distribution frames (PBDs, BDFBs, FAP, etc...)
Power plants (-48VDC, +24VDC, +130VDC and Ringing)
Converters, Inverters, Batteries, Rectifiers
Physically routing the cables that supply AC and/or DC power and associated alarms under supervision
Identify, label, measure and terminate cables that supply AC and/or DC power and associated alarms under supervision
Conduct test and document performance characteristics under supervision
Perform quality validation on in-process and completed work
Use hydraulic and manual cutters and crimpers
Perform testing using various types of equipment and methodologies as required
Perform inventory of project material
Interact with all members of the organization; Installation, Engineering, Project Management
Performs other duties as requested by Lead / Supervisor / Manager

Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree in an appropriate technology desirable
Minimum of 18 months experience as a Primary Power laborer or similar electrical experience
Demonstrate proficient use of Microsoft programs and applications
Demonstrate proficient use of IOS and/or Android applications
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Bend or twist the body in tight working spaces
Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment
Maintain balance while performing construction tasks while on a ladder
Reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance
Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and/or manipulate small wires and objects
Regularly walk and perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired
Regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds and participate in group lifts for 50+ pounds.
Work shifts longer than eight hours in durationWork during 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift as required by the customers' maintenance window.
Push or pull heavy objects into position and apply muscular force quickly to objects and equipment
Distinguish between colors
Work in a noisy environment
TRAVEL
Willing to travel extensively
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to transport minor job related tools and minor equipment to work locations.
