Job Overview
Experienced Workover Rig Floorhand role at ND Energy Services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work with a three to five person crew performing maintenance and repairs on oil & gas wells.
Operate the mud pump, pipe wranglers, mix fluids and perform equipment upkeep.
Pick up/lay down pipe and latch tubing in elevators.
Assist in loading and off‑loading pipe and other items.
Manage tools on the workover rig floor and assist in daily maintenance.
Assist with rigging up and rigging down the workover rig.
Work in the shop or assist in NDES Yard maintenance when necessary.
Assist in repairs and prepare the workover rig for deployment when necessary.
Attend and participate in daily and monthly safety meetings.
Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies and any other required regulations.
Report any and all incidents immediately to Rig Supervisor.
Able to work in all weather conditions.
Perform other duties as directed by management.
Required Skills
Work in a fast‑paced environment.
Report to work on time and be fit for duty.
Possess organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Work effectively as part of a team.
Lift 75 lbs. and handle physically demanding work.
Communicate using oral and basic written communication.
Pass a pre‑employment drug & alcohol screening and participate in the random testing pool.
Pass a background check and motor vehicle record check.
Arrange for reliable transportation to and from work.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous workover experience required.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time position that typically works a 14‑day on/7‑day off rotation. The position regularly requires long hours and weekend work (including holidays) as job duties demand.
Work Environment This job operates in an outside environment. The role routinely works in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, heat, wind, rain, etc.
Licenses & Certifications
Valid Driver's License.
Class A or B CDL preferred.
