Position Overview
Press Operator – San Bernardino, CA
The base hourly pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.20.
Work Schedule Monday to Friday: 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM Saturday: 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Responsibilities
Always adhere to safety procedures and policies.
Read, follow, and interpret planning and order instructions.
Verify part quantity and perform visual inspection for defects or damage.
Demonstrate punctuality.
Perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals.
Navigate intranet to locate process documents – basic computer skills.
Operate the extrusion press and related equipment, ensuring proper settings, dies, and billet temperatures.
Load and unload billets, monitor extrusion speed, and inspect profiles for defects.
Perform die changes and routine press maintenance with guidance from the press lead or supervisor.
Complete production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Identify and expedite any mechanical or quality issues promptly.
Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Machine Operator, Metal Extrusion, and Machine Shop experience.
