Key performance areas The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with blueprints and specifications.
Responsibilities
Select appropriate jobs according to the shop floor control system or team leader.
Set up machines using work instructions, blueprints, and specifications, including developing and adjusting simple CNC programs.
Adjust machine parameters and perform robot calibrations as trained.
Verify process capability using SPC or other control methods and measuring devices.
Ensure process meets all inspection criteria and run at defined efficiency levels.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tooling.
Maintain clean equipment area and complete daily housekeeping duties.
Follow all safety and environmental requirements.
Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.
Your profile
High attention to detail and strong visual perception.
Experience with measuring gauges and equipment.
Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing preferred.
At least 2 years’ experience in a mechanical or industrial setting.
Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Shift 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:15 PM).
