LKC Collaborative (LKC) is seeking an
Interior Design
Project Manager
who may be an Architect with an emphasis on Interior Design, or an Interior Designer, for ourNYC Studio located in Union Square. Applicants considering either full-time employment or temporary contract work are encouraged to apply. Project work will include large scale multifamily residential interiors but may also include single family residential and commercial office.
Responsibilities
The Interior Designer Project Manager will work under a Project Director and play a leadership role in carrying out the following responsibilities
Design and document thoughtful, high-performance interiors across all project phases alongside the design team
Develop and craft space plans, FF&E concepts, and detailing aligned with client goals
Communicate with design team, consultants, and vendors to coordinate design direction and ensure smooth project execution
Translate branding and conceptual design strategy into compelling spatial solutions
Convey design intent through clear visual storytelling using Revit, rendering tools, and/or hand sketches. Compelling 3d visualization and diagramming ability are important.
Participate in the design control and documentation of projects in the design development, construction document, and supervision phases
Support project budgeting, value engineering, and material selection
Qualifications
5-7 years of professional experience in Interior Design or Architecture
Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture
Experience in medium-to-large-scale projects
Preferred candidate will have a strong background in multifamily residential interiors and planning
Expertise in Revit and proficiency in 3D rendering tools such as Lumion
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam
Strong space planning skills and knowledge of finish, furniture, and casework standards
Leads with curiosity and is a creative problem solver with excellent communication, collaboration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Works well in collaborative team settings
Excellent graphic presentation skills
