Description
The experienced CNC Operator will operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts. Loads parts in machine, cycles machine, detects malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged tooling, etc. Run production lots, communicate with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintain safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings and related programming to produce correct and accurate parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine CNC machine operations.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Management or Lead.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: CNC computer operations, sawing, cutting, bending, forming, notching, and related metal forming.
Perform inspection of products (including documentation of results).
Complete and maintain paperwork as necessary.
Assist in other work areas, as necessary.
Must be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions) and understand and troubleshoot CNC related equipment.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic hand held measuring tools.
Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
