Sun Auto Tire & Service is looking for a General Service Technician to handle non-technical automotive service repairs such as oil changes, tire services, and customer transportation. The role also includes vehicle inspections, part ordering, and keeping a clean shop environment.

Opportunity for Advancement
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
Performs oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Manager or Store Manager.
Observes general vehicle condition and reports needed repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Manager or Store Manager, using the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order.
Maintains cleanliness of the shop, including service area, tire racks, showroom, and surrounding building.
Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors or the corporate office with the company vehicle.
Operates company vehicle safely, obeying all traffic laws.
Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles following company and state guidelines.
Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns to the Shop Manager or Store Manager.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current, valid driver’s license
Minimum age 18 years
General understanding of vehicle under-the-hood and under-carriage assemblies
Availability Monday – Saturday
Working Conditions and Physical Demands The General Service Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Temperature may vary from extreme heat to extreme cold.
Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and walk to access various areas of the building
Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; require full range of motion with arms and hands
Lift/invest up to 10 pounds regularly; lift 50 pounds frequently
Hear and speak
Vision sufficient for color, depth, and re-focus
