Job Overview The General Maintenance Worker will provide daily HVAC mechanical maintenance operations and activities for all assigned facilities. The incumbent will inspect, repair, and maintain all mechanical systems. The incumbent will also troubleshoot problems and inspect for defective mechanical equipment or systems and make the required repairs. The incumbent assists the HVAC Mechanic while working on more complex issues, repairs, or projects.
Pay Rate: $30.55
Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical work independently on equipment.
Utilize diagrams to locate failures.
Identify root causes of various types of mechanical failures.
Complete all work tasks timely, accurately and completely.
Coordinate with other personnel to properly identify and utilize the correct materials, parts assemblies, and requirements for a variety of job/task.
Generate and submit outage requests.
Respond timely to emergency site maintenance.
Perform on‑call and preventive maintenance duties.
Perform periodic inventories and prepare material requisitions for replacement items as required.
Operate customer and company motor vehicles and/or other equipment in a safe manner.
Perform various duties such as (but not limited to) file maintenance, workspace cleanup, maintain warehouse space and telephone answering as required.
Adhere to the established safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures.
Perform duties in an overtime capacity when needed to meet performance expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent GED.
At least two (2) years of experience in the HVAC service and maintenance trade performing similar work tasks.
Possess and maintain or obtain within 6 months and maintain the Hepatitis B vaccination.
U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance.
Ability to pass pre‑hire background and drug screen.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
