They will configure, install, fit and maintain various piping systems, and ensure smooth operation of these systems.

The pay range for this position is $20 - $45 per hour and will be determined based on a skill assessment and experience.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials; systems may include pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves.

Understanding of plumbing and mechanical system designs and diagrams.

Refer to blueprints and schematics to install new systems and to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair existing equipment.

Assembles fittings and valves for installation.

Install pipes and fixtures per regulation.

Modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for projects.

Use hand tools as necessary.

Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems. Report or resolve problems as necessary.

Able to work in a team setting and work independently, efficiently, and safely.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of commercial plumbing experience.

Experience working on new commercial mechanical construction projects preferred.

Thread pipe and work with steel pipe.

Ability to work from drawings, understanding of how plumbing systems work.

Ability to work in confined spaces and any weather condition.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Attention to detail to follow instructions and/or direction from plans, and supervisors.

Excellent verbal and written skills.

Ability to work independently and safely.

Work Environment

Shop fabrication and/or field installation work.

Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and job site conditions.

May require overtime, evenings, or weekends based on project needs.

There will be a 2 hour skills assessment before any interview is scheduled. The assessment consists of a short written test via iPad and a hands on skills test. Someone will reach out to you if we are interested in scheduling a skills assessment.
