Job Responsibilities
Identify proper welding wire and alloy used for the applicable base metal.
Change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles and set proper tension on rollers.
Set proper welding parameters (voltage & wire speed).
Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in Flat, Horizontal & Vertical Fillet Positions.
Demonstrate competency in post‑welding treatment—brushing, cleaning, straightening & weld quality.
Pass Welding Performance Test (given on‑site during interview process – QA determination).
Fast‑paced assembly style facility.
Handle several hundred small welds applied in a single shift.
Education and Experience Requirements
Ability to safely lift to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
Ability to stand on hard surfaces while working.
Ability to work in non‑climate‑controlled temperatures.
Commitment to participate in continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical training in welding.
Welding certification.
Team‑based work environment aptitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic math skills.
