Position Overview
US Modules is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations within its solar module manufacturing facility in College Station, TX. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance technicians, ensuring equipment uptime, supporting production, and maintaining safe and compliant operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance Operations
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians across assigned shifts.
Ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns and production support requests.
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks per established schedules.
Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues.
Ensure accurate completion of work orders in the CMMS.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA, LOTO, electrical safety, and machine guarding requirements.
Conduct safety talks, job hazard analyses, and ensure safe work practices.
Ensure contractors follow site safety and permit requirements.
Report and investigate safety incidents, near misses, and equipment damage.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians.
Support training, skill development, and cross-training initiatives.
Assist with scheduling, shift handoffs, and on-call coverage.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement & Reliability
Support root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment issues.
Identify and implement maintenance improvements to reduce downtime.
Assist with spare parts management and critical spares identification.
Support equipment upgrades, installations, and shutdown activities.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
2+ years of supervisory or lead technician experience.
Strong hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
Familiarity with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in solar module, semiconductor, electronics, or advanced manufacturing.
PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley or Siemens).
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or TPM concepts.
Facilities systems experience is a plus.
Work Environment This is an on-site role in a manufacturing environment. The position requires working around automated equipment, electrical and mechanical systems. PPE is required, with flexibility to support off-shift or weekend work as needed.
Work Schedule Full-time. 12-hour shifts available for both day shift and night shift. Overtime may be required based on production needs.
