Job Summary We are seeking a skilled
Mechanic
to maintain and repair landscaping equipment, vehicles, and machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience with small engines, diesel engines, and hydraulics, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely to support our landscaping operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, skid steers, trucks, trailers, and other machinery.
Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs on engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.
Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and extend lifespan.
Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
Ensure all equipment complies with safety and environmental regulations.
Weld, fabricate, and modify parts as needed for equipment repairs.
Order and manage replacement parts and supplies.
Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
Assist with vehicle fleet maintenance, including oil changes, tire replacements, and brake inspections.
Additional landscape duties can be done to acquire more hours per week, such as visiting work sites to repair equipment, zero turn mowing, tractor work, bush-hogging, etc.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in landscaping, construction, or agricultural industries.
Strong knowledge of small engine repair (gas and diesel), hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
Having own tools is a plus, but not necessary.
