Interstate Power System's is looking for Entry Level Diesel Technicians at our Grand Forks North Dakota location. If you are looking for a career that will provide you valuable on the job and classroom training then we want you!
Scheduled Shift: Monday-Friday Pay Range: $22 - $29 per hour DOE Mechanic Job Duties:
This is an Entry Level position, developing and learning a skilled trade while working with Factory Trained/Certified Technicians.
Entry level troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of trucks
PM work, oil changes, lights, A/C, brakes, tire changes, basic tech work!
Will train and grow entry level techs into full blown diesel techs
Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all heavy duty components
Positive interface with service writers, foreman, parts department and customers
Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion
Desired Skills and Qualities:
Technical degree or certification a plus
Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them
The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Position Requirements for Mechanics:
High school diploma or equivalent
A strong desire to learn and grow your technical skill set with heavy duty trucks
Be able to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
Must have your own set of general tools
Use computers for web based training and work order system
Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions
