Responsibilities
Develop and deliver mobile app features, UX flows, and UI components
Collaborate with product and UX teams to develop and maintain features
Work to continuously improve code quality, code maintainability, and app performance
Help raise the mobile app development bar by supporting and mentoring other developers
Work with modern Android development tools and principles such as Kotlin, MVVM, Dagger, Coroutines, Hilt, Room, etc.
Support and influence key decisions within the mobile platform and promote best coding practices
Develop features used by millions of customers each day, implementing them in extensible, maintainable ways
Collaborate with backend developers to support app integrations with backend services
Write well‑tested code using modern architectural principles
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of professional software development (non‑internship) experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling)
Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of full software development life cycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, operations)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and or other benefits.
