Job Description These employees are entry level with little to no experience in the work they perform. They are the least independent and need oversight, assistance and training from Level II and Level III employees. To transition into this level, employees must consistently demonstrate beginner proficiency of 75% of additional skills associated with this level, as well as all required skills. They must meet the quality and productivity standards set by the department for a minimum of six months. Additionally, an employee must be A Class Above in Behaviors, Results and Improvement on their most recent performance review and must not have a written warning or higher in the last six months.

The Electrical/Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly of control panels. The assembler utilizes stock electrical and mechanical components to build custom panels per job instructions, works with little or no supervision, and may interact with technicians or the engineering department depending on the complexity of the design.

Responsibilities

Build or assemble non-electrified and electrified components by following the specified directions from the job paperwork.

Test and initial electrified components for function.

Submit requests for replacement tooling or supplies.

Debug and troubleshoot electrical problems.

Complete inventory cycle counts as needed.

Ensure all documents are filled out completely.

Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire.

Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs.

Ability to read tape measure.

Ability to read a blueprint.

Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity.

Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision.

Work Environment

Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Able to stand (75 %); walk (20 %); stoop, kneel or crouch (5 %) as required.

Able to climb portable ladders.

Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift.

Able to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.

Electrical/Mechanical Assembler II: Min $19.74 - Max $29.62

Electrical/Mechanical Assembler III: Min $21.42 - Max $32.14
