We are seeking experienced Concrete Carpenters with 5+ years of experience in commercial construction for our Raleigh‑Durham business unit.
Job Description DPR Construction specializes in complex, sustainable projects. The Concrete Carpenter will perform concrete placement, finishing, and restoration tasks, operating equipment such as skid steer, lorry, and 18K/30K excavators.
Responsibilities
Establish finish grade during slab pours.
Read tape measures and set string lines for forms.
Perform concrete placement, finishing, curing, and cutting of slabs.
Apply floor toppings and finishes to meet project requirements.
Erect and set forms for concrete structures and site work per specifications.
Maintain knowledge of cross slopes, ADA ramps, curbs, and other concrete tolerances.
Patch, repair, and restore concrete, including joint treatments.
Use hand tools, trowels, pumps, vibratory equipment, and power tools as needed.
Continuously update equipment knowledge and use equipment at appropriate sequence.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in all aspects of concrete in commercial construction.
Knowledge of equipment operation (skid steer, lorry, 18K/30K excavators).
Proficiency with concrete finish tools: straight edges, bull floats, mop, float blades, saws, lasers, etc.
Ability to work in various physical conditions: climb, lift up to 50 lbs, endure outdoor environments.
Strong reading of specifications, drawings, and ability to perform tasks independently.
Physical & Working Conditions
Climbing, standing, walking, reaching, bending; prolonged periods in various positions.
Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Work on‑site indoors or outdoors, may involve heights, loud noise, dust, and fumes.
Proper PPE required at all times.
