Family Law Paralegal
J. G. Boyd Law is a family law litigation firm. We are seeking a passionate, driven individual to assist our lawyers with case management, discovery, analysis, and production work.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate
Paralegal experience: 2 years
Strong computer skills
Responsibilities
Prepare files for mediation and/or trial, host negotiations, draft orders and settlement documents.
Draft discovery requests and responses, legal correspondence, settlement offers, and affidavits.
Draft motions and responses, briefs, pre‑trial orders and initial pleadings; issue subpoenas.
Prepare domestic relations financial affidavits, child support worksheets, and marital balance sheets.
Other Necessary Skills
Positive attitude toward finding answers, learning new things, and helping people.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced skills with Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Enjoyment working with new technology and case management programs.
Team player who can perform outstandingly under pressure.
