Base pay range $60,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Established and growing boutique law firm in Irvine seeks full-time paralegal to support attorneys practicing in civil litigation, business litigation, and real estate litigation.
Responsibilities
Review and draft routine legal documents
Create and maintain case files
Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
Draft pleadings and discovery (i.e., draft shells, proof read, cite check, perfect formatting, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft Word (especially Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents for Motions)
Knowledge of law/motion and discovery deadlines pursuant to the CCP and FRCP for Central District CA
Conduct intakes with potential clients
Communicate with clients, setting up calls and meetings
Familiar with MyCase is a plus
Conduct legal research
Qualifications
2-5 years experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate
Must have experience in calendaring court deadlines, discovery deadlines, reminders, etc.
