A law firm in Las Vegas is seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal with deep experience supporting attorneys in complex matters in both state and federal courts. The role involves high-level case management, drafting, research, and hands‑on support throughout all stages of litigation. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities, and collaborating closely with attorneys and legal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, revise, and finalize a wide range of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and citation tables, ensuring compliance with applicable rules.
Manage filings and service of court submissions in state and federal courts, including electronic platforms such as e‑filing systems.
Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy, including cite‑checking and verification of authorities.
Oversee e‑discovery tasks, including managing review databases, organizing productions, applying coding, running searches, tracking Bates ranges, and coordinating document workflows within tools like Relativity or Everlaw.
Assist attorneys during depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials—handling exhibits, preparing witnesses, maintaining materials, and attending to technology needs.
Maintain organized case files and create document repositories for new matters.
Organize discovery responses, research materials, and other case documents for attorney review.
Assemble binders and materials for hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.
Communicate with clients and opposing counsel to provide updates, exchange information, and address inquiries.
Track deadlines, manage calendars, and monitor case schedules.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certification preferred.
10–15 years of substantive litigation paralegal experience, ideally in a large law firm or similar high‑volume environment.
Strong familiarity with e‑filing systems and legal research tools.
Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Strong teamwork orientation and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.
Advanced proficiency with legal software platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
