Underwater Bridge Inspector/Diver
for our new office location in

Use relevant work experience to perform underwater evaluations of waterfront structures. Help ensure the safety of the traveling public through detailed assessments of bridge components and channel conditions below water. Draft inspection reports to clearly convey findings to client. Perform or oversee routine maintenance of vehicles, dive boats, equipment, and underwater instruments in accordance with WSP’s Safe Diving Practices Manual. Assist diving supervisors with preparation and planning of underwater assessments and training. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for equipment maintenance, diving safety, and inspection procedures. Plans, schedules, and performs bridge inspections in accordance with the requirements of specific bridge owners, but in all cases, in compliance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) and OSHA Regulations. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED. 1-3 years of underwater bridge inspection experience. Certified Kirby Morgan Hat Technician Commercial Diving (ADCI) Certification Current USDOT physical ADCI medical examination within last 12 months. Valid state driver’s license. Physically capable of performing field work; including working in inclement weather, climbing slopes and ladders, carrying gear (up to 75 lbs), operating small boats, and using hand and power tools, etc. Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others. Capable of self-leadership with attention to detail, ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instructions, and comply with company policies. Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives. Frequent travel/overnight travel will be required depending on project-specific requirements and project location. Selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Preferred Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree. Certified Guardian Full Face Mask Technician Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Prior leadership experience. ADCI Air-diving Supervisor Certification. Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek. Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation. #LI-TH1
