Hiring for an Engineering Technician in East Hartford, CT
Support Engineers in HSE durability analytics to maintain the integrity of parts in the hottest part of the engine. The role encompasses technician work, project management, and engineering tasks.
Responsibilities
Become a technical expert on inspection practices including photography, digital annotation, magnetoscope inspection, and airflow bench operation.
Follow proper standard work by selecting appropriate tools, setting up benches correctly, being aware of expected values, and documenting values in correct formatted templates.
Comfortable with MS Excel for data documentation.
Work on all special projects not covered within O/S SOW.
Order supplies for Crib & other team members.
Oversight of O/S team by providing technical expertise, monitoring workflow prioritization, and spot-checking deliverables to ensure quality meets standards.
Foster good communication between HSE/MPE/CPR/Outsource Vendor using regular communication tools like MS Outlook/Teams and interacting with CPR databases.
Submit work requests.
Update and maintain standard work for inspection practices.
Drive continuous improvement of inspection practices.
Troubleshoot issues with inspection bench equipment.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
Troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
Experience in assembly and inspection of parts.
Associate Degree from a technical college.
1+ year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with SAP is a plus.
Strong soft skills in project management.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT.
