About the Role We’re hiring a skilled and dependable HVAC Service Technician to join our growing Varsity Zone team in Norwalk. You’ll perform residential and light commercial service, maintenance, and installation work with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the General Manager and plays a key role in delivering the Varsity Zone experience on every job.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Perform seasonal tune-ups, system inspections, and equipment change-outs.
Accurately document work in ServiceTitan and ensure all service tickets are completed.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues, solutions, and pricing before work begins.
Follow all Varsity Zone safety standards and procedures.
Maintain service vehicle, inventory, and tools in clean, safe, and working condition.
Support installation crews or other technicians as needed.
Participate in ongoing training to maintain and expand technical knowledge.
Uphold Varsity Zone’s reputation for professionalism, integrity, and high-quality service.
Who You Are
Valid Connecticut S2 or S1 HVAC license (S2 preferred; S1 a plus).
EPA 608 certification (Type II or Universal).
3+ years’ experience in HVAC service, maintenance, or installation.
Strong troubleshooting skills in both electrical and mechanical systems.
Clean, professional appearance and strong customer-service orientation.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces or varying weather conditions.
Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field-service software is a plus.
