NIGHT SHIFT FOOD MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE/ELECTROMECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

12AM to 8AM
4PM to 12AM
Salary $30.60 and up hourly rate + $1-3.00 shift premium $5000 sign on bonus
Overview The Maintenance Technician maintains the efficiency of machinery and equipment in a continuous improvement-based environment, while also creating and maintaining a safe work environment. Position is responsible for setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining production/manufacturing equipment and machinery. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer’s specifications. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.
Responsibilities
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
Detect faulty operations and defective material; report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Mechanical Skills
Subject Matter Expert on a few plant production systems and equipment
Capable of performing all minor mechanical rebuilds and assists in all major rebuilds
Can perform set‑up procedures on some production plant equipment
Troubleshoots and repairs most mechanical issues on plant production equipment
Understands operation of most auxiliary support systems
Electrical Skills
Able to replace all like‑for‑like electrical components and set them up
Troubleshoots some electrical issues using proper tools and techniques
May require assistance with device replacement setup
Education and Experience
3 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience; experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings), product manuals, troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, and reading mechanical drawings
